I loved this story and the fresh take on a topic that has been circulating for some time. RE wrote it in such a way that it didn't feel like the same overused plot...there was mystery, angst and humor wrapped in a nice steamy package! Well worthy of 5 Stars!
Embry is running from her past, focusing all her time and energy in law school. She has her best friend Morgan by her side and also makes a new friend on the first day of class despite her best effort to chase him off. She doesn't want to think about falling in love, men or any deep emotional attachments. She only wants to focus on keeping her grades up enough to keep her scholarship and graduate.
Then Luke Brody enters her vision and all focus is out the window. He is charming and a walking piece of art, but Embry can't quite figure him out and she can't stop thinking about him. The last thing she needs is a distraction. Luke is just as intrigued and when they finally get a chance to formally meet, he keeps a huge secret from Embry that will put a huge wedge in their relationship. A secret so huge it could potentially destroy both of their futures. Neither Luke nor Embry are prepared for the feelings they’re developing.
